Events at Church of the Redeemer

Adult Forum :  On Monday, April 16, Lay Minister, Robert Warski, will lead a discussion on the subject of "Varieties of Religious Communities over Two Millennia for Christian History."  The session will begin at 3:30 in the afternoon in the narthex at Church of the Redeemer.  All are welcome.

Bible Study:  The Bible Study dates for April are Monday, April 9 and 23, at 3:30 in the church narthex.  Father Rich Frontjes will lead these sessions.  All are welcome.

Morning Prayer in Lent:  Episcopal Church of the Redeemer will offer Morning Prayer, from the Book of Common Prayer, every Thursday morning in Lent, at 9:00 a.m., beginning on Thursday, February 15, through Thursday, March 29.  Consider adding weekly morning prayer to your observance of the penitential season of Lent.

Maundy Thursday Morning Prayer:  There will be a special morning prayer service, with music from Taize, on Maundy Thursday, March 29, at 9:00 a.m.  Consider joining us for a quiet, meditative observance of Holy Week.

Good Friday Services:  On Good Friday, March 30, there will be Stations of the Cross at noon and the Service for Good Friday from the Book of Common Prayer at 4:00 in the afternoon.

Easter Vigil:  The service for the Great Vigil of Easter will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31.

Healing Ministry

Church of the Redeemer continues the healing ministry of Jesus in several ways.  One of these is offering prayer, laying on of hands, and anointing with oil to those seeking healing, after the distribution of communion at the 9:00 o'clock service on the first Sunday of every month.  Healing ministry is also offered at the Spanish-language service at 7:00 p.m. every Wednesday evening.
