9:00
a.m. Holy Eucharist, Rites I and II (English)
11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Holy Eucharist, Rite II (Spanish)
The
9:00 a.m. service incorporates a variety of musical expressions. A
robed choir leads the congregation in praising God. Entrance and recessional
processions are part of the service. Occasional instrumental and vocal
solos contribute to the worship. Incense enhances the solemnity of
major feast days. This Eucharist is designed for the parishioner who
is moved by the majesty of traditional High Church worship and well
as for the parishioner who prefers quality, contemporary music. At
this service. there is special sensitivity shown to the needs of families
with children. Preceding the service, starting at 8:15 a.m., Sunday
School is provided for children and the Adult Forum Educational Program
for adults. The service is followed by fellowship at coffee hour in
the church narthex.
The
11:30 and 1:00 o'clock services are conducted and preached in Spanish.
Many of the people attending come from the Roman Catholic tradition,
so the order of worship takes this into account. The choir is accompanied
by a guitar. First Communion, First Confession and "Quince Años"
are among the special celebrations that take place during the year.
